What Mosra is, plainly
An authoring tool for people whose lessons have to end up somewhere that counts them.
The problem it was built for
The tool that makes a lesson look good and the tool that makes it trackable have never been the same tool. So the work gets done twice: once in a design tool, once in an authoring tool, and from then on there are two versions of the same lesson and the wrong one usually gets shared.
Mosra starts from the other end — from where the deck has to end up — and works backwards. You build it once, in a browser, and export whatever the destination needs: SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, xAPI or cmi5 for an LMS, or PPTX, PDF, HTML5 and video for everywhere else.
Who is behind it
One person. Mosra is an individual's project, not an incorporated company — there is no legal entity, no office and no headcount, and nothing on this site should be read as implying otherwise.
That is worth stating rather than glossing over, because it is the sort of thing people find out later and feel misled about. If you are evaluating this for an organisation, it is a real factor and you should weigh it.
It is early, and it is smaller than it could be
Quite a lot of working code is switched off in this release. Features that exist and run are withheld because they are not finished to a standard worth putting someone's lesson through, and shipping a smaller product that does what it says beats a bigger one that mostly does.
The pages on this site describe only what is actually available. If something is not described, treat it as not there — even if you have seen it mentioned somewhere else.
There is no social proof here, on purpose
You will not find customer counts, logos, testimonials or star ratings anywhere on this site. Not because they are being kept back — because there are none yet, and inventing them is both a policy violation on Google's side and the fastest way to lose the only thing a new product actually has.
What can be offered instead is that the product claims are checkable. Every capability described on these pages is one you can verify by using it, and the fastest way to test the important one costs an afternoon: build a deck, export a package, load it into your own LMS.
About the free period
Mosra is free for everyone right now — no card, no trial countdown. Paid plans will arrive eventually, and the terms are written down rather than implied:
- At least 30 days' notice before any paid plan starts
- Accounts from the launch period keep their access for 12 months
- Your work leaves with you: everything exports to editable PPTX, PDF and HTML5
The honest way to evaluate this
Do not take any of the above on trust. Build one deck, export a package, and load it into the platform you actually use.
