1. What students leave behind
Depending on how the teacher uses Mosra, this can include:
- The nickname or name the student types when joining.
- Answers to each question, and the score.
- Time taken and completion progress.
- Slides viewed and for how long, if the teacher turned on presentation reporting.
- Email and name, only where the student has their own Mosra account (16 and over).
Mosra does not collect location, contacts, photos on the device, or anything else beyond the lesson.
2. Do students need an account?
No. Students join with a code and a nickname. No email, no password.
Mosra accounts are only for people aged 16 and over. Students under 16 may not create one.
We recommend teachers ask students to use a nickname rather than their real name, especially in sessions open beyond the class.
3. Who can see it
The teacher running the session or setting the work sees their own class's results. Where a school uses a team licence, administrators the school appoints may also see it, according to their permissions.
Other students see only what the teacher chooses to display, such as a leaderboard of nicknames.
We do not sell student data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train AI models.
4. Who is responsible
The teacher or school is the controller of student data: they decide what is collected, what it is used for and how long it is kept.
Mosra is the processor: we store and display the data on their instructions, and do not use it for our own purposes.
Obtaining parental or guardian permission where the law requires it is the school's responsibility, not Mosra's.
5. Asking for data to be deleted
Step 1: contact the teacher or school. They can delete results, remove a student from a class, or delete the whole class from inside the app.
Step 2: if you cannot reach the school, email {{PRIVACY_EMAIL}}. We will pass the request to the controller and assist within the statutory deadlines.
If your child under 16 has created a Mosra account, tell us and we will delete it.
6. How long it is kept
Learning results are kept as the teacher or school instructs, and are deleted when the class is deleted. Live session and presentation view data is deleted after 12 months.
The full detail is in section 8 of the Privacy Policy.
